“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.”

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Every person in the world has a unique story of their own. As you are reading this devotion, it will remind you of certain elements that connect to your story. Different feelings will arise within your soul when you read this verse depending on where you are in your story. Some will be good feelings and others will be difficult ones.
When I hear the words, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” I am always trying to believe how this applies to my life. In moments, the darkness makes this statement hard to believe that the Lord is for me. In moments of joy, I am able to remember that the Lord is for me much easier. Our emotions usually dictate if we believe the Lord is for us or not. Sadly, this is the reality for most followers of Jesus.
Thankfully, the Holy Spirit is constant despite our emotions. We all must allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us no matter our stories. We must not rely on our feelings and emotions alone to guide us through life alone. Feelings and emotions are not bad in themselves, but without the Holy Spirit they lead to destruction. I am praying that we all are able to trust the Lord. The Bible is clear that the Lord is for us no matter what takes place. The Lord is still for us if we have lost our mother. The Lord is still for us if we got the job promotion. The Lord is still for us if we struggle with depression. The Lord is still for us when our new baby son is born. The Lord is still for us when we lose our house in a fire. The Lord is for us, therefore, no one can stop us. I pray that you rest in the Lord today. Much love, Macon.

“For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”
