“Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you.”
We consecrate (set aside for a special purpose) food, buildings, pastors, deacons, and doorknobs. Let’s set aside time for prayer and seeking God’s face.

“You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.’
“We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.” A.W. Tozer

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
It is humbling to pray for another person and see God meet the need, even if they didn’t know you were praying for them. Don’t get puffed up; God may have laid it on an army of saints to pray for the same thing. And He didn’t have to tell you!

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!”
“When we slow down and express our gratitude to the One who made us, we enrich our own lives and the lives of those around us. Thanksgiving should become a habit, a regular part of our daily routines. God has blessed us beyond measure, and we owe Him everything, including our eternal praise. To paraphrase the family children’s blessing, “God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for… everything, especially His Son.”

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, foryou created all things, andby your will they existed and were created.”
God’s Word commands us to “take delight” in Him. The words of Psalm 37:4 are in the imperative. “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” The command confronts us in our complacency and calls us to a higher way of thinking. That isn’t easy – it cost us something. But even though it begins as work, it doesn’t end that way. God never leaves us where we are. With every effort we make to draw near, we’re promised He will come close to us. He not only gives you your heart’s desire, He becomes it.”
