Could You Die For Me?

Romans 5:9-11

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”

While using the HEAR method (see below) consider the following questions:
  • Why is the word “helpless” applicable when reflecting on our life before Christ?
  • How was our relationship reconciled with God?
  • How is your life different when you are justified by the blood?

Highlight – what words or phrases jump out at you
Explain – what does the passage mean?
Apply – how does the passage intersect with your life today?
Respond – how is God leading you to respond?
