No Condemnation

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Do you remember when you were first saved? It felt like the world had lifted off your back and you would do anything for the Lord. You felt so free in His presence. The same was in the garden. Adam felt so free to talk to God, enjoy the fruit, and name the animals.

What is it like to walk that way everyday? As you read Romans 8, you find the answer rather quickly. To walk in freedom, bearing fruit for God is to walk in the Spirit. God gave every believer the indwelling Spirit to guide, comfort, correct, and teach. Consequently, when we allow the Spirit to have His influence over us, we bear the fruit that flows from Him. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Therefore, read Romans 8 this week. Meditate on each verse and learn what it means to walk in the Spirit. Learn the benefits and bear the fruit. Then, each day allow the Spirit to have His influence over you. Against such things there is no law, there is no condemnation, and there is no separation from God’s love.
