Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Our joy (happy) comes from the Lord, not our circumstances. This truth is easy on the page but complicated in life. When COVID hit, a devastating fear struck many of us, not from the Lord, but this health phenomenon. The first time I had to venture out to a store for food, my heart and faith were in a battle for control of my emotions. I have also experienced peace in the middle of life’s storms. This journey of faith, belief, trust, heavenly understanding, and seeking God’s face lasts a lifetime. Keep praying!
