Check Your Altar

1 Kings 18:30

Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come here to me.” They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down.”

Why was the altar in disrepair? Let’s consider vandalism or neglect. If we let the cares of life bombard our prayer life, it may fall in disrepair. We get angry, disillusioned, frustrated, and weary of the battles in day-to-day living. Other times our altar is neglected and slowly slips away and placed where we forget it even existed. Check your altar when you don’t see the power in prayer that Elijah experienced.
